SAAFF is pleased to announce the Annual SAAFF Eastern Cape Golf Day, taking place on Thursday, 9 July 2026, at Port Elizabeth Golf Club.

This much-anticipated annual event offers an opportunity for members, partners and industry colleagues to connect through a day of golf, networking and shared camaraderie.

Importantly, funds raised during the event will support Lakefarm Centre, SAAFF Eastern Cape’s charity of choice.

Format for the Day

  • American Scramble into the hole
  • Medal Net Score (gross less 4-ball average)

American Scramble Format Explained

  • All four players in the team tee off on each hole.
  • The team selects the best shot.
  • All players then play their next shot from the chosen spot (within one club length and no nearer the hole).
  • This process repeats until the ball is holed out.
  • Gross score to be captured.

Additional Rules

  • Handicap: Official HNA handicap or last known handicap for unaffiliated golfers, with a maximum of 16 for men and 24 for ladies (if no official handicap is available).
  • Handicaps divided by 8 = 4-ball average.
  • Where the lowest handicap is lower than the average, the four-ball will play off the lowest handicap.
  • All players, including ladies, to play off the white tees. Only all-female teams may play off the red tees.
  • Each four-ball to bring four-ball prizes.
  • All funds raised on the day will be donated to our charities of choice.
