SAAFF made a submission to the Ports Regulator, via Dave Watts, our Maritime Consultant and played an integral role in securing the 5.97% increase.

The Ports Regulator announcement re the National Port Authority – tariff for 2017 / 2018 financial year.

The NPA originally  applied for an overall increase of 8.02% made up of:

13.25% on marine charges

8.3% on all bulk cargo dues

5.0% on container cargo dues

5.0% on automotives

The Regulator has approved an overall increase of 5.97% made up of

7.9% on marine charges

6% on bulk and break bulk cargo dues

4.9% on container cargo dues

3.9% on automotive cargo dues.
