Through its membership of the International Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations (FIATA), SAAFF has developed a network of country associates worldwide and plays a leading role in FIATA’s Africa and Middle East Region (RAME).

The immediate past President of FIATA, Basil Pietersen gave South Africa recognition that we both have the skills and professionalism in the country and on the continent to this industry. This underpins the considerable influence of the Association in the international affairs of the Industry. Where FIATA is represented through an Association Member such as SAAFF, an individual member can only be admitted as an Individual FIATA Member if the Association Member of FIATA in their country and/or territory agrees with their application.
